Where will you be in ten years, ten weeks, ten days, or ten minutes?

You never really know what the future's going to hold, so the answer to this question is really hard to come up with, especially if you want to be accurate.  God tells us in the Bible that we don't know when our time on earth will come to an end.  I don't think that means that you shouldn't try to plan for the future though.  You may not know where you're going to be in ten years, but you can try to take steps to at least bring you closer to a goal.  Joseph stored up grains in Egypt because the Lord told him a drought was going to sweep through the land and he made sure Pharoah had his people store up all of their grains so they would be ready.  I think that's what we're supposed to do while we are here on earth.  I think God wants us to to fill up the silos with the souls of the lost so we can be ready for the future.  I'm not a preacher, I haven't been to seminary, but I do know that the Bible tells us to go out and spread the news of God's salvation for the lost.  I've been thinking a lot about the future lately and I think when in the Bible it talks about the man who stored up his riches and then died it's just trying to convey that if you are blessed you should share the wealth and not try to hoard it for your own future.  Does this mean you can't save up for your kid's college, or a house, or even a car?  Of course not, I think it just means that we should look where our hearts are and not do things out of selfish motives.  I don't mean give all of your money to the government either, I think so much more would be accomplished if we would donate our time and money to specific causes or charities so we know where the money is going.  So when you're planning for what you're hoping your life will be in ten years, just remember that the most important future is the one we will have after we leave this earth!
