Local girl's unfortunate death brings life to African villagers

Not far from where I live a tragedy occured a few days ago.  A little 9 year old girl named Rachel Beckwith died in a 13 car pileup.  Not long ago she had a birthday and instead of asking for gifts for herself, she requested people donate to help her raise $300 to give clean water to African villagers.  She fell shy of her goal by about $80, but since her untimely demise the church she attended reopened the web site that she had set up to accept donations and now has donations over $390,000.  Okay, that number is no longer right, I just checked the website that's accepting donations for this charity in her honor and it's almost up to a half of a million dollars!  If anyone is reading this and is interested in helping this cause or just to honor the memory of a very selfless little girl here is the website: http://mycharitywater.org/p/campaign?campaign_id=16396.  It looks as if they will be accepting donations for another 25 days.  My guess is that the generosity of Americans will push this to over a million dollars!  It saddens me to see that it takes tragedy to bring out the best in people sometimes, but at the same time it also shows me America still has a heart!
